# Christian love carried into service

The closing globe scene places children before a vision of the worldwide church. Its explanation looks toward the church of tomorrow and states a purpose: that people throughout the world might know God’s love through Jesus Christ. The emphasis moves from the places where earlier communities lived to the continuing responsibility of those who receive their faith.

The panel connects this message with action. Love is to be expressed through service, a theme already embodied in the neighboring accounts of refugee accompaniment, education, hospital work, and help after disaster. The histories of the Dycks, the Groves, Daniel Gerber, and Ruth Wilting give particular names and settings to that larger calling.

The same panel prints a worldwide statistical snapshot attributed to Mennonite World Conference and marked “10/12.” It is a dated exhibit figure, not a present-day census. The church’s continuing history cannot be reduced to that count: the scene’s central claim is the Christian calling to pass on the faith and put love into practice across the world.
