1536: Jakob Hutter’s execution · Overview

Innsbruck is the place where Jakob Hutter was executed on 25 February 1536, according to the Hutterite institutional history. The event belongs to the period when he led and organized believers moving between Tyrol and Moravia.

The linked event connects his death here with the communities he had served. The date describes that episode in Anabaptist history and does not assign a beginning to the city.
