O my dear lambs, do not depart from the Lord; he will not permit you to be tempted above that you are able to bear; for he is a faithful succorer, a strength in weakness, and a comforter in sorrow to those that are afflicted in heart. Let us nestle close into his arms, and cast all of our care upon him, for he cares for us, and will himself watch over us; that we may partake of the supper with all the saints in heaven, where Christ himself will gird himself, and serve at the table. Herewith I will commend you to the Lord, and to the mighty word of his grace; may the peace of God rule in your hearts. I heartily greet all our dear brethren and sisters, and all those that fear God from the heart, with the peace of God. By me, Nelleken Jasper, a maiden of Blijenberg, your unworthy sister in the Lord; the 12th of December, A. D. 1569. Send me a letter occasionally; for it will be very welcome to me. ## Original source [Read this passage on Project Gutenberg](https://www.gutenberg.org/cache/epub/65855/pg65855-images.html#Page_731) [Edition details](https://www.gutenberg.org/ebooks/65855) [Previous page: COPY OF A LETTER WRITTEN FROM PRISON, AT ANTWERP, BY A YOUNG WOMAN, NAMED NELLEKEN JASPER, OF BLIJENBERG, WHO LAID DOWN HER LIFE AT THE FORMER PLACE, FOR THE TESTIMONY OF JESUS CHRIST AND HIS DIVINE WORD.](/en/stories/mm-copy-of-a-letter-written-from-prison-at-antwerp-by-a-young-woman-named-nelleken-jasper-of-blijenberg-who-laid-down-her-l/) · [Book contents](/en/sources/martyrs-mirror/#book-contents) · [Next page: NOTICE TO THE CHRISTIAN READER, CONCERNING THE FOLLOWING SENTENCES.](/en/stories/mm-notice-to-the-christian-reader-concerning-the-following-sentences/) --- Page: https://history.truechristian.church/en/stories/mm-copy-of-a-letter-written-from-prison-at-antwerp-by-a-young-woman-named-nelleken-jasper-of-blijenberg-who-laid-down-her-l/part-2/ [Contribute a correction or addition](https://github.com/trueChristian/history.truechristian.church/issues/new?title=Correction%3A+Copy+Of+A+Letter+Written+From+Prison%2C+At+Antwerp%2C+By+A+Young+Woman%2C+Named+Nelleken+Jasper%2C+Of+Blijenberg%2C+Who+Laid+Down+Her+Life+At+The+Former+Place%2C+For+The+Testimony+Of+Jesus+Christ+And+His+Divine+Word.+%C2%B7+Page+2+of+2&body=%23%23+Page+or+topic%0ACopy+Of+A+Letter+Written+From+Prison%2C+At+Antwerp%2C+By+A+Young+Woman%2C+Named+Nelleken+Jasper%2C+Of+Blijenberg%2C+Who+Laid+Down+Her+Life+At+The+Former+Place%2C+For+The+Testimony+Of+Jesus+Christ+And+His+Divine+Word.+%C2%B7+Page+2+of+2%0A%0APage%3A+https%3A%2F%2Fhistory.truechristian.church%2Fen%2Fstories%2Fmm-copy-of-a-letter-written-from-prison-at-antwerp-by-a-young-woman-named-nelleken-jasper-of-blijenberg-who-laid-down-her-l%2Fpart-2%2F%0A%0ARecord%3A+mm-copy-of-a-letter-written-from-prison-at-antwerp-by-a-young-woman-named-nelleken-jasper-of-blijenberg-who-laid-down-her-l--b00009-o000000%0A%0ADate+currently+shown%3A+16th+century+%28source+section%29%0A%0A%23%23+Correction+or+addition%0A%0A%0A%0A%23%23+Sources+and+evidence%0APlease+include+book%2Fpage+references%2C+archive+links%2C+or+first-hand+documentation.%0A%0A%0A%0A%23%23+Image+credit+%28if+applicable%29%0ACreator%2C+source%2C+and+permission+or+public-domain+basis.%0A%0A%0A%0ASubmitted+for+review%3B+this+issue+does+not+publish+changes+automatically.)
