# Felix Manz and the cost of conviction

1527 · Overview

Felix Manz was one of the early Zürich advocates of believers’ baptism. He was executed by drowning in the Limmat on 5 January 1527.

The supplied Martyrs’ Mirror heading gives 1526 for Felix Mantz. That heading is preserved on the source page; this overview uses the date given in the later reference. Keeping both visible allows readers to examine the difference.
