Behalt

Acknowledge the project and artist behind the supplied video and exhibit-panel imagery.

A section of the Behalt history mural photographed from the supplied video
Behalt by Heinz Gaugel, at the Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center, Holmes County, Ohio. Frame from the site owner’s supplied video.

Behalt is a circular mural that interprets the history of the Amish, Mennonites, and Hutterites. Heinz Gaugel completed the painting in 1992. It remains an artistic and historical interpretation, while the photographed timelines provide the principal guide for extending this site.

Every use of mural imagery in this archive acknowledges Heinz Gaugel and links to the Amish & Mennonite Heritage Center. The painting’s status is kept separate from the public-domain Martyrs’ Mirror material and the contributor’s timeline material.
