Henry of Toulouse

Henry of Toulouse was a disciple and fellow teacher of Peter Bruis in Martyrs’ Mirror’s account. The source presents their preaching together, including the conviction that baptism should follow belief.

It places Henry’s apprehension by the papal legate two years after Peter’s death, in 1147, but states that his final fate was not known. This profile therefore dates the apprehension and preserves that limit rather than presenting 1147 as a documented death year.
