Evangelical Mennonite Conference

The Canadian Kleine Gemeinde adopted the name Evangelical Mennonite Conference in 1960.

The Canadian conference traces its roots to the Kleine Gemeinde movement of 1812 and the migration to Manitoba in 1874–1875. It adopted the name Evangelical Mennonite Church in 1952 and Evangelical Mennonite Conference in 1960.

Its archival collection documents conferences, missions, publications, and congregational life. These names belong to this Canadian history; the similarly named Evangelical Mennonite Mission Conference and Evangelical Mennonite Brethren have different beginnings and appear separately in the explorer.
