Rudnerweider Mennonites

A renewal movement among Sommerfeld Mennonites organized as the Rudnerweider church in 1937.

The Rudnerweider church emerged from a division in the Sommerfeld church over the desire for renewal. Its official archival description dates organization to 1937. The photographed chart marks the preceding movement in 1936, distinguishing the beginning of renewal from formal organization.

The church became the Evangelical Mennonite Mission Conference in 1959. Its records preserve conference activity, congregational life, missions, and research for the history Search for Renewal. The explorer shows the new conference name as a continuation of this particular fellowship.
