Paul the apostle

The first-century baptism section recalls Saul’s baptism after Ananias came to him, and the wider account follows Paul’s ministry through repeated suffering. His letters and example give the book a language of endurance, service, and hope in Christ.

The account of his final witness places his beheading at Rome under Nero in 69. Its original illustration accompanies that account. This date describes the event as presented in the supplied edition rather than the beginning of his ministry.
