Mennonite Central Committee
Mennonite Central Committee began in 1920 as a cooperative response to hunger among communities in Ukraine.
North American church leaders met in July 1920 to coordinate help for hungry people in Ukraine. The committee’s first official meeting followed on 27 September 1920.
The source chart includes MCC beside Mennonite World Conference because cooperation and service also belong to the family’s history. MCC is a relief and service organization, rather than a denomination or a branch produced by church division. Its archival record follows the development of this shared work.
