Cordova

Cordova is a recurring setting in the ninth- and tenth-century accounts. John’s witness in 850 is followed by other named Christians, including Eugenia near the city in 923.

The linked histories distinguish imprisonment and a fate left unknown in John’s case from the execution recorded for Eugenia. The place page gathers those accounts without treating every reference to the city as the same event.
