1632–1660: confession and publication · place
Dordrecht (Dort)
Also searchable as: Dort
Dordrecht, called Dort in the supplied edition, connects the confession of faith drawn up on 21 April 1632 with the later work of Thieleman J. van Braght. The introductory line of the Third Confession identifies the gathering and its date.
Van Braght also signed his addresses at Dort in 1659 before the 1660 publication of Martyrs’ Mirror. These source passages connect a place of conference and writing with the preservation of the churches’ testimony.
