Molotschna

The Molotschna settlement was the setting of Kleine Gemeinde and Mennonite Brethren beginnings.

Also searchable as: Molotschna · Molotschna settlement

Klaas Reimer and fellow Mennonites organized Kleine Gemeinde in 1812, seeking reform in church discipline and life. Later renewal and home gatherings formed the setting of the Mennonite Brethren movement of 1860.

These developments belong to different branches of the settlement’s church history. Their pages explain the people, convictions, and later migrations, rather than treating all congregations from Molotschna as one body.
